1973 Nicholson 35

The Nic 35 was purchased for the purpose of extended cruising by a couple.  We chose this particular design for her seakeeping abilities and the reputation of her builder, Camper & Nicholsons Ltd.  The Nic 35  interior, although considered small for a boat of her size by today's standards, is suitable for a couple and well designed for offshore sailing.

We purchased a project boat in part for budgetary reasons.  But we also realized that because of my professional background as a surveyor, as well as our cruising plans, we would be more critical of the typical vessel's systems and equipment than most prospective purchasers.  We decided that we might as well "bite the bullet" and plan on upgrading and replacing most of the systems on whatever vessel we bought.

To date, many of the major projects have been completed.  I have listed both complete and incomplete projects below and will add narrative and pictures, as time allows.
